The Pigott Brothers

The Pigott Brothers shot to national fame on last season’s Canadian Idol as the first sibling finalists in the franchise’s history. They’ve followed up with a blistering first album, “Pigottry”, featuring songs written by both Oliver and Sebastian Pigott.

The Pigott Brothers got their start in the band Laughing Sam’s Dice who made waves in the Toronto Indie Scene in the early 2000s with appearances on CBC’s Jonovision and profiles in the Toronto Star and the Globe and Mail.

At 21, Oliver Pigott was signed to a publishing deal by BMG Canada and spent the next five years working with some of the most respected names in the business. After touring in the United States and the U.K., where he recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studios, Oliver returned to Canada in 2008 to work with his brother and perform on Canadian Idol. Esteemed names such as Tony Cowell, Amy Winehouse and Lukas Rossi have expressed their admiration for his work.

As well as being a Canadian Idol top 8 finalist, Sebastian Pigott is an accomplished actor with a supporting lead role in the second season of CBC’s “Being Erica”. He has also appeared as a guest star on NBC/CTV’s “The Listener”, the new CBS/CTV series “The Bridge”, the US Discovery Channel feature film “Deadliest Sea” and Stephen King’s new series “Haven”.

A November ‘09 release party for the remastered “Pigottry” and its debut single “Rich Man” saw the brothers play a sold-out Rivoli in Toronto. An international tour is to be announced very soon.
